Rules of Admission
RULES FOR ADMISSION
- Proof of Age: Any of the following original documents will be accepted as proof of age:
(a) Birth Certificate issued by Military/IC Hospital, Municipality, or Village Panchayat.
(b) In the case of Defence personnel, a POR extract duly signed by the Unit Adjutant is also required.
Change in Date of Birth: Once recorded in the school register, any change in the date of birth will be accepted only with a certificate from the Registrar of Births and Deaths along with the original newspaper clipping notifying such change. Defence personnel must also produce a POR extract signed by the Unit Adjutant regarding the change.
- Admission in Transfer Cases: Students transferring with a Transfer Certificate (TC) from an Air Force School and seeking admission in Class LKG and above will not be required to undergo any admission test. If the previous school is not an Air Force School, the TC must be countersigned by the District Education Officer (DEO) of the district where the school is located. The endorsement must clearly indicate whether the school is recognized. Air Force School TCs must be countersigned by the Education Officer (EO) of the school. Children with TCs from any Air Force School are to be mandatorily admitted to another Air Force School where admission is sought. Such admissions will be over and above the stipulated class strength.
Air Force School TCs will be accepted only if issued by outstation Air Force Schools. TCs from Air Force Schools within the same city will not be accepted. In such cases, parents should approach the Directorate of Education, Air HQ (RK Puram), for a case-by-case decision regarding local transfers between Air Force Schools.
- Admission to Class I and Below:
Admission to LKG, UKG, and Class I does not require a TC and will not be based on any test involving prior academic achievement. Admissions will be strictly based on the priorities mentioned in the Education Code 2017 for Air Force Schools, along with local rules decided by the School Management Committee.
- Admission without Transfer Certificate up to Class V:
Direct admission (without a TC) may be granted as a special case only up to Class V for students who have not previously attended any recognised school.
